Cody Norton
Breeder & Animal Specialist
I, Cody, have a passion for animals and genetics; when you talk to me, you’ll see. I attended the University of Florida and majored in Animal Sciences, specializing in beef production. Some areas of study that have piqued my interest during my time at UF and proven helpful in my breeding programs include genetics, reproduction, as well as growth and development of domesticated animals. While at UF, I also traveled throughout the United States competing on UF’s Intercollegiate Meat Judging Team during 2018, UF’s Intercollegiate Livestock Judging Team during 2019, and UF’s Intercollegiate Live and Meat Evaluation for 2020. My mother says my love for animals was evident even in my early childhood. I’ve always been happiest when I am within an arm’s reach of an animal of some sort. As I got older my love for animals only grew as I also fell in love with the agriculture industry and knew one day, I wanted to be a part of it. I was very active in 4H and FFA throughout school as I just wanted to be involved in anything to do with animals. My animals are a part of the family, and I often take them on joy-rides until they go to their new homes.
